PHOTOJAX 2011 - Inaugural photography event in Jacksonville

PHOTOJAX 2011 is an inaugural 2-day photography festival celebrating photography. PHOTOJAX 2011 offers a diversity of photography related exhibitions, artist receptions, portfolio reviews, and a community cell phone image projection exhibit hosted by various venues throughout Jacksonville. PHOTOJAX is a not–for-profit organization coordinated by a group of dedicated volunteers in conjunction with the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, a cultural resource of The University of North Florida. The festival brings together photographers, photography enthusiasts, collectors, educators, galleries, museums and the general public to explore all aspects of the medium by answering this year’s thematic question: “What is Photography?”
